Alice Lindstrom completed a Bachelor of Design at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in Sydney, before moving to Adelaide to graduate with a Masters of Museum Studies and a Graduate Diploma in Art History from the University of Adelaide.
Alice now lives in Melbourne and is a freelance illustrator. She works primarily in paper collage, using traditional cut and paste techniques. Alice also uses watercolour and digital media to create some of her images.
Alice is passionate about creating playful illustrations for both children and adults that are rich in narrative, character and meaning and explore themes relating to nature and femininity. Her aesthetic draws on diverse influences, including picture book illustrators from her childhood, Medieval and folk imagery as well as twentieth century design and Modern art movements.
